Clean freshwater is an essential part of our daily life, and unfortunately an ever-diminishing global resource.
What we do
Aqua Sense Limited is a startup founded and incorporated in Hong kong in 2020. Our mission is to develop comprehensive, reliable and easy to use water quality sensors for residential use or to be integrated with water purification systems. Leveraging from cloud computing and Ai machine learning, we are setting up the largest urban water quality measurement system that will localize, evaulate and automatically report faults on the monitored piplene network for rapid troubleshooting and efficient repairs scheduling.
Our first device AquaSense is a compact water quality sensor that can be attached to all the most common faucets. It connects with mobile devices to warn and inform the consumer about the quality of the tapwater. The measured values of water quality indicators can be shared via the user app

A.I.
Given the sufficient number of users whose measured data is atomatically uploaded to our cloud every time the user app connects to the internet, a tailor-made AI algorithm is trained to the localization of faults on the pipeline network. This could help rapid troubleshoot for the benefit of the whole community. Fault localization can also detect leakages to help preserve freshwater resources and save a substantial amount of costs for the city.

AquaSense measures general quality indicators as well particular harmful substances selectively
Contaminations entering the water stream are inherently change the electrical properties (inductance, resistance). Changing of electrical properties can easily be measured by using two sensing surfaces acting as a potentiometer essentially.
Besides using traditional techniques, AquaSense utilizes graphene sensing surfaces that can be built to a nanoporous structure with atomic precision to filter out molecules of a particular size. The sensing surface thus will selectively react to these molecules as they pass through.
Simple user app
A handy app warns the user in case contamination is detected and help to record and share the measured values of water quality indicators onto our cloud database.
